Course Overview

Revit for New Users is our comprehensive 5-day Revit program designed specifically for students with no prior Revit experience. The course combines the complete Revit Essentials content with all the intermediate Revit skills needed to work confidently on architectural projects.

Curriculum is aligned with the IMAGINiT Autodesk Revit Fundamentals for Architecture program, with additional practical exercises. Students complete 4 structured practical class exercises that build real project confidence from day one.

Revit Essentials (included)

  • Revit 2027 interface, navigation, and project setup
  • Creating and modifying walls, floors, ceilings, and slabs
  • Inserting and modifying doors, windows, and components
  • Basic annotation, dimensions, and room tags
  • Creating plan, elevation, and section views
  • Printing and exporting to PDF

Revit Intermediate Skills (included)

  • Curtain walls, curtain grids, and mullions
  • Roof types: footprint roofs, extrusion roofs, and complex roof forms
  • Stairs, ramps, and railings
  • Structural grids and levels as datum elements
  • Component features: furniture, equipment, and fixtures
  • Schedules, material tags, and keynotes
  • Sheet setup: adding views to sheets, title blocks, and revisions
  • Construction documentation workflow

4 Practical Class Exercises

  • Exercise 1: Creating a complete single-story building shell
  • Exercise 2: Interior layout — partitions, doors, windows, and furniture
